Fantastic safety razor
I have a few safety razors in my shave den, including this one, a Merkur 34C, a Merkur Futur, and two vintage Gilettes, a Slim Adjustable and a Super Speed. This razor sees the most action of any of them. It is a fairly forgiving razor, not too aggressive but it strikes the right balance for me. As most wet shavers will tell you, what performance you get out of razors, creams, soaps, brushes, blades, etc., will greatly vary by user. However, this razor seems to be well received by most. It is an elegantly designed razor and has just the right heft to it. It comes in three pieces, so the head and comb come apart separately for easier cleaning. On first glance the smooth ebony handle might make you think that it could possibly slip easily when wet, however this is not so. I think this is a fine razor for anyone either interested in traditional wet shaving or just looking for something new to add to their arsenal.
