I have had every brand and type of electric shaver made. The Norelco rotary shavers don't shave close enough, requiring me to "scrub" my face over and over trying to get a closer shave. The Remington screen shavers shave too close and always burn and/or nick my skin. I found the Braun shavers years ago and fell in love with them. They shave perfect without having to "scrub" and without nicks and burning. Now the new style is even better. Previously, the "blades" were vertical, rubbing against a horizontal screen. This is the way ALL screen shavers shaved. The new ones have a horizontal sheet sliding back and forth against a horizontal screen. It works better than the vertical blades. It's also easier to clean. The vertical blades required physical brushing to get rid of the whisker-mulch... hot water alone wouldn't clean them. The new heads drop the "mulch" into the bottom of the head and there is nothing to gum-up like the vertical blades. A rinse under the faucet cleans...
