While every experience is different and personal, this razor has been great for me. I will try to tell you why.
If you are expecting to just yank this unit out of the box and get a great shave, let me know how that goes for you. In general, I have found that you have to sort of "tweak" your shaving routine using this razor (oh, and follow the instructions).
I have read that some people do not like the trimmer. I can see where this might be the case. It's a little less than precision. So, I do not use it myself for all kinds of trimming. However, I do use it as part of my daily shaving routine. For me, it works better if I use the trimmer to go over the entire face first, and then follow up with the electric razor, which then gives me a very close shave (but not so close as to cause bumps).
