Panasonic ES-LV61-A Men's 5-Blade(Arc5) Shaving System with Nanotech Blades
Fantastic shaver.
First off... I got this shaver through the amazon vine program so I didn't buy it. Right now amazon shows this shaver selling for $499.99. I am a 41 year old Italian guy... so I have a thick, dark beard. Most of my adult life I've had to alternate between electric and blade shaving. If I go blade too many days in a row I get razor burn and if I would go electric too many days in a row it just wouldn't get it all and would look very sloppy. A few years ago I bought a Braun for a little less than half the cost of this razor and I have been very happy with the job it does. I can use the electric every day and it does the job nicely. Is it as "close as a blade"? No, but it is close enough that I'm happy with it. Now, the Panasonic... Is it better than the Braun? Honestly, I have to say, yes it is. I still don't think that the Panasonic is as close as a good blade shave, but it is close enough that you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference and honestly if my beard weren't...
